Recently the U.S. House passed the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA), more accurately described as the Teen Endangerment Act. The legislation makes it a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines to obtain an abortion unless she first satisfies her home state's parental consent requirements.
